Game wont run on my Linux System

I'm new to Bopimo. Got the game today, decided to make an account, explore the site, check out the game, I downloaded the appimage, which needed FUSE, I installed FUSE and opened the app image only for the game to tell me that chrome-sandbox needs to be owned by root to work? This is odd considering that this is a Godot 4 game that I'm installing and your launcher requires, what, electron?

For the sake of transparency, yes, I'm using a virtual machine, but this is a KVM Qemu VM with acceleration enabled and is perfectly capable of running 3D games. I use a VM to test out pretty much any application that I use just as a safety precaution.

I ran the appimage with --no-sandbox and it appeared to install Bopimo fine, I clicked play, the game I think was loading(?) but then just nothing happened, no game appeared. I went digging, found a client_linux zip folder, found the Godot game inside, unzipped it and found the supposed base version of the game, which had options for offline play.

Attempting to play games doesn't work as it doesn't believe the client is installed and the launcher can't launch without protocol, whatever that means. The game pretty much refuses to play when clicking play on any level from now on and there's definitely some strange signs, like how the zip didn't extract the client and I had to do that manually. Maybe the URI is now broken?

Is there not any documentation on how to properly set up the game? Thanks.

I'm going to try using Chromium instead of Firefox to see if the URI .desktop issue is just a firefox thing or maybe it's a launcher issue, because the game seems to run fine offline.

Seems as if Chromium can open the URI but not Firefox for some reason. Game loads in but uses Vulkan which my VM struggles with, game worked fine with OpenGL3 but not with vulkan for some reason, so that's an issue on my end. I've configured the project override to use opengl and the game runs perfectly fine now. Just a weird URI issue, and I should probably get my VM sorted so it can use Vulkan.
