The daily challenge system is flawed

You have a pretty good point, although it does boil down to player choice at the end of the day, the encouragement is still there

i think it would help if there were a couple more challenges in the future, like "complete a featured level once" or whatever (other people can probably come up with better ones than myself)
also this is just nitpicky but seeing levels like "daily clear farm 56" on the front page is a little bit depressing lol i think playtime-based challenges would help a lot

My only complaint with the system is that it encourages people to make one-and-done 30 second levels, which just fills the overall experience with quantity over quality.

yeah. i understand very well that daily challenges are entirely optional, and that the only means to an end are purchasing insignificant cosmetics, but regardless - with a 24hr cooldown, i DO feel obligated to play no more than five levels a day
what is the reason for having clear challenges on a cooldown, as compared to being unrestricted? Luke doesn't seem all that concerned with it having an effect a virtual economy, so I can't think of any other reason why

I don't think having unrestricted challenges would be a good idea because it wouldn't motivate someone to play when they could grind at any time for as many challenges as they want, thus removing the sense of completion and duty that the daily challenge holds.
