The Roman Empire had a massive impact going into the modern day. The 7th month of the Gregorian Calendar is named after the first Roman emperor, Julius Caesar. They even managed to conquer the Ancient East, that proves to be a graveyard of modern empires. Whilst they conquered the Ancient East of Persia and the Levant, they never made it far into the eastern half of Europe, they didn't end up conquering what is modern day Berlin either, though there was little value in that area. Nowadays in Rome's former heartland there lies Italy, with it's modernized delicacy's like pizza, Paste, etc. Apparently the Roman's would collect and horde trash, due to the fact they didn't have Bins. The Roman's had many successor states, one was the HRE which wasn't really holy or roman, but they'd rather you not Read between the lines.
