My first instinct after downloading the installer was to put the executable into VirusTotal, and it returned with 1 Malicious detection, however it came from a probably unknown antivirus called "Bkav Pro" and the detection was called "W32.AIDetectMalware"

Is it safe to assume that this is a false positive? sorry if this question seems too silly

Your antivirus flagged it because it is not signed. If you want to sign it you need to pay a huge fee.
